*In 2019, the Ocala, Timber Ridge, and Lady Lake offices of Florida Cancer Affiliates returned to our longtime name, Ocala Oncology. We remain a part of Florida Cancer Affiliates but want to affirm a connection to the local community we serve. Although our name has changed, our commitment to patients remains the same.
In light of the daily changes to the coronavirus restrictions we wanted to reassure you that Ocala Oncology/Florida Cancer Affiliates remains open to provide medically necessary, life-sustaining care. Our office is committed to the health and safety of our community and has implemented rigorous policies and procedures to limit the exposure risks of any individual visiting our clinics.
In addition to our existing protocols and our rigorous cleaning procedures, to further ensure the safety of those we serve, we will:
* Implement a mask mandate for all staff, patients and approved visitors. A mask will be provided if you do not have one.
* Perform temperature checks and screenings taken for anyone entering the building. This includes all staff, patients and approved visitors.
* Implement travel restrictions for our employees
* Mandate that any employees feeling unwell stay home
* Limit the number of caregivers accompanying patients to only one per visit
* Ask all patients experiencing symptoms of a cough, fever or difficulty breathing; those who traveled to areas impacted by the COVID-19 within the past 14 days or who
may have been exposed to the coronavirus to contact Ocala Oncology before visiting our clinics for scheduled appointments
For your safety and convenience, our expert team can now see patients through scheduled virtual appointments (Telemedicine), on a secure platform. Virtual appointments (Telemedicine) are only available for routine office visits and cannot be used for emergency medical care.
If you are interested in utilizing a virtual appointment (Telemedicine) for your upcoming routine office visit, let a member of your care team know. Our helpful staff will send you instructions on how to download the application to your smartphone, tablet or computer and information on next steps for your virtual visit.
All of our services, including our In-House Pharmacy, PET/CT scans, research, infusions and radiation treatments will remain open and operating.
We will continue to monitor changes and keep you informed with the ever-changing information as we receive it. We thank you for allowing us to treat you. We are all in this together.
