Lawrence Hochman, D.O., is board certified in radiation oncology and participates in the American Board of Radiology maintenance of certification program. He received his training in radiation oncology at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Texas. He is a 1990 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and practiced family medicine before specializing in radiation oncology. He received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Hochman’s experience includes all aspects of radiotherapy including stereotactic radiosurgery, IMRT/IGRT, stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy, and 3D conformal planning and treatment. He was the first to offer several of these treatments in the local area. Dr. Hochman brought high dose rate brachytherapy to Pasco County several years ago and now treats his gynecology patients in the outpatient setting rather than in the hospital. This same technology allows Dr. Hochman to offer Mammosite and SAVI accelerated partial breast irradiation to appropriately selected patients in a comfortable outpatient setting. He has performed over a thousand prostate "seed implants." Dr. Hochman also treats patients with Dupuytren's Contracture. Dr. Hochman is the radiation services director for Florida Cancer Affiliates and has previously served on the US Oncology Radiation Executive Board. Through the US Oncology Network, he has been involved in peer and technology review both in the US and abroad.
Dr. Hochman is a member of the American Radium Society, The American College of Radiation Oncology, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Radiation, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Brachytheraphy Association.
Dr. Hochman lives in New Port Richey with his family. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of New Port Richey.
